Getting Around Antwerp

By Train

From the United Kingdom

Travel with Eurostar to Brussels-Midi (Brussel-Zuid).

From Brussels-Midi, direct trains run frequently to Antwerp Central Station (approximately 40 minutes).

From France

High-speed rail services arrive at Brussels-Midi, with convenient onward train connections to Antwerp.

From the Netherlands

Direct international trains operate to Antwerp Central Station, making Antwerp an ideal arrival point.

By Air

Brussels Airport (BRU)

For most international visitors, we recommend flying into Brussels Airport (Zaventem).

A direct train departs from the airport station to Antwerp Central Station approximately every hour.

Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL)

If travelling with low-cost European airlines, you may arrive at Charleroi Airport.

From there you have two options:

Airport coach to Brussels-Midi, followed by a train to Antwerp
Direct FlixBus service to Antwerp Rooseveltplaats (depending on schedule)

By Coach

International coach services operate with FlixBus.

The recommended stop is:

Antwerp Rooseveltplaats

This is within easy reach of Antwerp Central Station and the festival venues.

Recommended Accommodation

As three out of the four festival days take place in Antwerp, we recommend staying in Antwerp for the duration of your visit.

For the Brussels programme on Tuesday, 13 October, simply take a train from:

Antwerp Central Station → Brussels Central Station

The journey takes approximately 40 minutes, followed by a pleasant 15-minute walk to ArBA-ESA.

Getting Around Antwerp

Antwerp is compact, safe and easy to explore.

Tram & Bus

The easiest way to travel between festival venues is by using Tram Line 7 and the city’s bus network.

You can simply tap your contactless bank card or mobile wallet when boarding—no ticket purchase is required in advance.

VELO City Bikes

Antwerp’s public bike-sharing system is an excellent way to move around the city.

Day passes can be purchased and activated directly at any VELO station by following the instructions on the terminal.

Belgian Rail

Trains run regularly between Antwerp Central and all major Belgian cities (Brussels, Bruges, Gent, etc.) as well as international destinations (Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Paris, etc.) You can purchase tickets online or at the ticket booths at all stations before boarding.
